Pheasants
Forever, Inc. is a nonprofit conservation organization
formed in 1982 in response to the continuing decline of
upland wildlife. Central Indiana Chapter #642 is made
up of all Pheasants Forever members that live in the
Indiana Counties of: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock,
Hendricks, Johnson, and Marion.
Pheasants
Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasant,
quail, and other wildlife through habitat improvement,
public awareness, education, and land management
policies and programs. As a result, the primary
objectives and purpose of Chapter #642 are to protect,
restore, and enhance wildlife habitat by establishing
and maintaining local and regional habitat projects; to
develop, distribute, and foster youth conservation
education; to introduce and advance prudent conservation
policy; and to acquire and preserve critical habitat
through public land acquisition open to public hunting.
