The Chapter hosts a Youth Hunt and a Youth Day each year (Spring and Fall). The Youth Hunt is focused upon safety education, dog handling, and hunting. Each youth is paired with an adult mentor to participate in a pheasant hunt. The Youth Day not only includes a chance for the youth to harvest a pheasant, but includes many other activities ranging from gun education, conservation, fishing, archery, and dog training. For more information on the Youth Hunt or Youth Day, contact Ray Shepard [317-937-2235].
Register for the Youth Hunt.
In addition to mentoring youth hunts, the chapter sponsors a Youth Group. The Youth Group meets monthly throughout the year. These monthly meetings and events are developed to get the next generation involved in habitat, conservation, and other activities in addition to hunting. For additioinal information or to join our Youth Group, contact Ray Shephard [317-937-2235].
